I'm going to be in London (5 days) and Paris (6 days) in September. If anyone has suggestions for sights to see, places to eat or anything that's interesting but off the beaten tourist track, let me know. This include music, theatre and anything fun. Love to meet other fans too. I hope to see Angelique, our French angel, again but she's pretty busy at school in southern France. Got some artwork of her to put up later. The museums in London and Paris are THE best. I saw Turners (my favorite) at the Tate and National Galleries, several versions of the original Magna Carta at the British Library, and in Paris--spectacular Rodins, eye-popping Dalis and of course the Louvre. Oh yes, and lots of patisseries!! But I walked so much I didn't even gain weight! Photos later... I found a goodie at the British Library for next week's update. Stay tuned...

The only suggestion I could have made is to go get Bruce & take him out!! But then he probably has too many fans after him to allow that! Can't wait to hear more about Over There!

I got the Yellowthread Street article from the British Library newspaper archives way the hell out on the fringes of London after a l-o-n-g Tube ride. Am I dedicated or what? Or is that fanatical? There's a link on the Update page. I also saw a Midsummer Night's Dream at the Globe Theatre and it was fabulous!! So funny and so colorful. Seeing it live is magical.

Posts: 455 (10/27/08 10:49:42) Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I also had a fabulous time in Paris--knocking myself out going to museums--the Dali Museum was especially interesting--watercolors and sculptures I had never seen even in books. Highly recommended. The Rodin was also great--those wonderful, sensuous sculptures... To say nothing of the food--oh yum. J'aime beaucoup les chocolats, les croissants. les quiches...but I walked so much that not only did I not gain weight, I lost weight!! Wow, what a diet plan--go to Paris--that works for me...
